In 2020, after witnessing the heartbreaking video of George Floyd’s murder, Carol Jacobsen felt an urgent call to action. Drawing on her 50 years as a painter, she embarked on a powerful artistic journey—creating 100 portraits of Black women whose achievements, resilience, and contributions have too often been left out of history books. These women broke barriers of race and gender, not only achieving their dreams but also giving back to their communities. Carol’s work shines a spotlight on their legacies, ensuring their stories inspire future generations. With a 34-year career as a tech consultant, Carol has leveraged her expertise to expand the reach of this project through books, videos, and social media.
